The accumulation of water due to heavy rain has caused damage to the walls of houses, located in the Old Town of Vila Joiosa.

The City Council have decided to evacuate two of the families that live in the Old Town because of the storms. After the cold drop on Friday discharged 35 liters of water per square meter in less than 40 minutes. As a result of the storm, part of the masonry walls on the western side of Pal Street have been detached.

The evacuted families will stay at the Censal and Allon hotels until the risk passes. The area has been closed off.
