The three musical entities in Benidorm have recovered their concert activity after the break imposed by the Covid-19 health crisis with the 'Concerts d'Estiu' cycle. On Sunday, the Symphonic Band of the Musical Society La Nova starred in the second installment of this cycle, with a concert that is also part of the 'Música als Pobles' campaign of the Alicante Provincial Council and attended by, among others, the councilor of Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and several members of the Corporation.

The concert was developed in two parts, with a program in which pasodobles, soundtracks and symphonic compositions were combined. The public completed the capacity foreseen in the Julio Iglesias auditorium of the Parque de l'Aigüera, adapted to the sanitary regulations of open-air shows.

From SM La Nova they thanked the Department of Culture for having made available to the bands of Benidorm and Rondalla de La Barqueta an outdoor space where they can safely rehearse and keep the minimum distance of 1.5 meters. Specifically, the multi-sports indoor track of the Ciudad Deportiva Guillermo Amor has been enabled for this purpose. The Department has also provided the chairs and lecterns for rehearsals and two changing rooms that are currently out of service so that they can store the necessary equipment.

After the opening of the cycle on Sunday, 26th July by the Musical Union of Benidorm and last night's SM La Nova concert, 'Concerts d'Estiu' will experience this week its third and last performance with the recital of the Musical Society l'Illa, which will be dedicated to the Benidorm festivals suspended due to Covid-19.
