With the aid of a grant of € 3,366.03 from the Diputación of Alicante, La Nucia City Council have pledged to allocate a total of 11,366 euros to the Cat Sterilization Campaign which aims to reduce the number of abandoned cats in the La Nucia area.

Fifty volunteers have been drafted in to help with the campaign which will see the cats captured and transported to one of many veterinary clinics for the procedure. All sterilized cats will be marked so they are easily identified as having undergone the sterilization procedure.

Abandoned animals continues to be a major problem on the Costa Blanca and in other areas in Spain. If you would like to help out, Cool Radio has teamed up with Manos Y Patos, a local animal charity here in Benidorm. Every week we feature a dog or a cat who is in desperate need of a loving home.
