Michael Bradley told passengers his wife cheekily punched him in the back of the head when operators announced there would be a two-hour delay to the flight.

An easyJet passenger who was travelling to Spain on a family holiday offered to fly the plane himself after the pilot went missing.

Dad Michael Bradley, who was waiting patiently to get on board the flight to Alicante , decided he didn't want to wait after operators announced there would be a two-hour delay.

The qualified easyJet pilot came equipped with his licence and ID before offering his services to the company in a desperate bid to get him, his wife and young son on their much-anticipated holiday.
