Finestrat has become part of the national network of smart tourist destinations.

Mayor of Finestrat, Juan Francisco Pérez, said " from today Finestrat is part of the national network of smart tourist destinations in which there are only 66 municipalities throughout Spain. In addition, in our case we are the only destination of the entire Valencian Community with less than 10.000 inhabitants who integrate into this network next to large cities such as Seville, Bilbao, Palma De Mallorca and Malaga. Without a doubt, this is a recognition of the work we have been doing for two years in the matter of smart tourist destination to improve the tourism in our area".

"Finestrat, today, is one of the 9 Municipalities of the entire Valencian Community that has exceeded the 2 initial dti phases and is already in level 3 which is the most advanced for the benefit of both residence and visitors. This includes a free WiFi network on the beach, the implementation of fibre optic and the connectivity project in the Puig Campana. "without a doubt, the mayor concluded, being part of the national dti network will give us the opportunity to be at the forefront of technology applied to tourism, in addition to giving national and international projection to everything we do from Finestrat as a smart tourist destination".
