The Benidorm City Council exhibits from this Thursday, 23rd July, a selection of 150 drawings presented by schoolchildren from the municipal program 'Menjadors a casa' in which their first outing after confinement was. The mayor, Toni Pérez, explained that "in May we proposed this activity to the schoolchildren who were participating in 'Menjadors a casa' and we had a massive response, since there were more than 400 drawings received." "Now," he added, "we want to exhibit the work and launch a contest among the selected drawings."

"Throughout the confinement -the mayor has indicated-, the boys and girls of Benidorm have had an exemplary behavior as well as in their outings, that is why we wanted to recognise their attitude and the integrity with which they have faced this situation, making them protagonists of an exhibition in one of the most important exhibition spaces in the city ”.

Toni Pérez explained that "from the Department of Education and Culture, 25 drawings have been selected for each of the six distribution points of the 'Menjadors a casa' program, so forming a sample of 150 works". When choosing the drawings "the age of the minors has been taken into account, so that the selection is as representative as possible".

Once the exhibition is open, which can be visited until the end of August, a jury will evaluate all the exhibited works and select the best one from each delivery point, six in total. The six winners will receive as a prize “a batch of school supplies for the next school year 2020/2021”.
